The Kauoo Ionic Blow Dryer with a 110,000 RPM brushless motor is a solid option for those in search of a premium dryer. While it may not be my favorite, it has earned a place in my bathroom cabinet for its sturdy build and upscale design.

One notable feature of this dryer is its magnetic nozzle attachment, which adds to its premium feel. The LED color ring on the back of the unit also adds a touch of sophistication, making it easy to identify which heat mode you’re on. The brushless fan runs in two speeds, low and high, which works well for most needs. However, an additional fan speed option between low and high would be a welcome addition.

One unique aspect of this dryer is its “wave” function on the hottest heat setting, which slowly ramps the heat up and down to prevent scalding and hair damage. While I prefer constant heat output, this feature is a thoughtful addition.

Another interesting feature is the two filters – one located on the rear and the other at the bottom of the handle. This helps improve airflow and prevent overheating, but the inner metallic filters are not removable, making cleaning a bit more difficult.

Overall, while there are higher-performing dryers available at a higher price point, the Kauoo Ionic Blow Dryer is a great alternative that performs well enough to earn a spot in my bathroom cabinet. Its premium design and unique features make it a solid option for those in search of a reliable hair dryer.
